Our Policies

Everything you need to know about shopping with Tantu. Prices in AED. We ship across the UAE and GCC.

Shipping Policy

Tantu ships across the United Arab Emirates and the wider GCC region. All orders are processed from our Dubai fulfilment partner.

Delivery timelines

  • Dubai & Sharjah: 1–2 business days
  • Abu Dhabi, Ajman, other Emirates: 2–4 business days
  • GCC (Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar): 5–8 business days

Shipping charges

  • Free standard shipping on all UAE orders above AED 150
  • Orders below AED 150: a flat AED 15 delivery fee applies
  • GCC shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination and weight
Because every Tantu piece is handwoven and quality-checked individually, orders placed during festive periods (Eid, Diwali, National Day) may take 1–2 additional days to dispatch. We'll always keep you posted by email and SMS.

Order tracking

Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking link by email and SMS. You can also track any order from your account dashboard.

Customs & duties

UAE orders are delivered duty-paid — the price you see is the price you pay. For GCC orders outside the UAE, local customs duties or taxes may apply on delivery and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns & Exchange Policy

We want you to love what you receive. If a piece isn't right, you may return or exchange it within 7 days of delivery.

What can be returned

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached
  • Items must be returned in their original packaging
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required

What cannot be returned

  • Items marked as Final Sale or purchased during clearance
  • Custom-stitched, altered, or made-to-order pieces
  • Items showing signs of wear, washing, perfume, or damage after delivery
The handloom promise: Slight irregularities in weave, colour, and texture are natural characteristics of handmade cloth — not defects. These are what make each Tantu piece one of a kind, and are not grounds for return. Genuine manufacturing defects are of course fully covered.

How to start a return

  • Email returns@tantu.ae or use the returns request in your account within 7 days of delivery
  • We'll arrange a pickup from your address (UAE only) within 2–3 business days
  • Once inspected and approved, refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method

Exchanges

Prefer a different size or piece? Exchanges are free within the UAE for the first request on any order. Simply select "Exchange" when raising your request.

Refund method

Refunds are issued to your original payment method (card, or as store credit for Cash on Delivery orders). Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the item was faulty.

Privacy Policy

Tantu ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

What we collect

  • Contact details you provide (name, email, phone, delivery address)
  • Order and payment information (payment is processed securely by our payment partners — we do not store full card numbers)
  • Browsing and usage data via cookies (see our Cookie Policy below)

How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders
  • To communicate order updates and respond to enquiries
  • To improve our products, service, and website experience
  • To send marketing communications — only if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe anytime

Who we share it with

We share data only with trusted partners who help us operate — delivery couriers, payment processors, and IT service providers — and only to the extent needed. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw marketing consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@tantu.ae.

Data retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here or as required by UAE law.

Products & pricing

  • All prices are listed in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable
  • We make every effort to display colours and details accurately, but handwoven textiles naturally vary — slight differences from screen images are expected
  • We reserve the right to update prices and correct errors at any time before an order is confirmed

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm dispatch. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, in which case you'll receive a full refund.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, images, logo, and design — is the property of Tantu and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
